No Online Pass Required
As gamers, we know that going online to play a few spirited rounds of multiplayer can, at times, be a crapshoot at best. You’ve experienced it all before: being repeatedly headshotted by a sniper camped out in your base; being on the receiving end of a guy single-handedly building a killstreak by using you for target practice; or, perhaps worst of all, getting trash-talked (and maybe even tea-bagged) by an over-privileged prepubescent kid. We know your woes; we feel your pain.
But we also gladly acknowledge the joys of coordinating an all-out attack on an enemy base with a kick-ass team of like-minded individuals, or experiencing the type of bonding one can only find when running a 5 or 10-man instanced dungeon with a few guildies in World of Warcraft, toiling away for hours and sharing the spoils of war. Yes, in a conducive setting, multiplayer games can lead to some of the most memorable gaming experiences of all.
In episode 13 of PodBytes, we celebrate multiplayer gaming in all its glories and defeats, and remember some of our favorite online moments and games to go along with it.
