Irrational Games’ panel of cast and crew discuss VO recording process for upcoming FPS action adventure.
This year’s hotly anticipated entry in the BioShock series, BioShock Infinite, already caused quite a stir among critics at 2011’s E3. Then, at PAX Prime 2011, Irrational Games’ panel, meaning to answer audience questions, ran out of time to do so. Instead, they have assembled a podcast featuring designer Ken Levine, as well as the voice actors of main protagonists Booker and Elizabeth, Troy Baker and Courtnee Draper.
In the podcast, part of a series titled Irrational Behavior, Ken, Troy and Courtnee take questions from fans inquiring about the nuances of the forthcoming adventure, as well as inside details on the recording sessions and design decisions inherent in creating a game such as this. Listen in as the three “discuss the process of voice acting, how they approach their characters in BioShock Infinite, the emotions involved in a memorable performance, and the collaborative process between the actors and director.” The podcast can be accessed from iTunes, or straight from the horse’s mouth at the developer’s website.
