The Revolution Will Be Televised
A lot of buzz has been floating around the ether during the last week, concerning the Kickstarter campaign of a recently-announced console, the Ouya. Dubbed as the “developer’s console”, this Android-based system purports to make game development a cinch, and promises to focus much of its gaming catalog on free-to-play games.
Naturally, we couldn’t let an announcement like that simply pass by without wiping the drool off our lips long enough to all sit down and have a chat about it. But there’s other things going on in our gaming universes, of course. And so we find ourselves giving equal time to Metal Gear Solid, The Legend of Zelda, and find out what guilty pleasure serves as Martin’s ringtone.
PodBytes – Episode 21: Hoorah for Ouya! stars Martin Watts, Pascal Tekaia, Jeff Trewin, and Christopher Walken (sometimes known as Rexly Penaflorida II). Originally recorded on Saturday, July 14, 2012. Full run time: 63 mins.
